Southern new mexico spots

Hello All. I'll be traveling on I 10 on Wednesday, west fron el Paso to AZ and I'm having a problem finding free camping off of I 10 - towards the western part of New Mexico. I've been doing Cracker Barrels from Philadelphia with no problem. I don't mind boondocking but I have a problem using maps to find BLM land. Any specific locations you can recommended
would be appreciated. Thanks, John.

If you exit 10 and take 87 north there are several free city parks with electric, water, and dump stations. I've stayed at several heading to Santa Fe.

By the way, that route was nice the last time I went through. Slightly slower to NM but 10 is easier and faster. There are a lot of parking lots that will allow you to overnight in West Texas. It's really common. I'd just avoid areas areas around El Paso. They will be much busier and nosier.
