1998 jayco designer 5th wheel

good morning...trying to learn my older model 1998 Jayco designer 5th wheel. cannot figure out how to open/lower awning...nothing in manual...nothing on this model on you tube or google..
any thoughts and input is appreciated.

It’s either electric, there should be a switch somewhere or with a manual awning, there would be a loop hanging down that you pull on with a pole.

There should be a small latch on the cap towards the front side of the awning. You need to move that to unlock the roller. May also be a slide lock on the front arm about 1/2 way down. (Could be either type of locking mechanism) Once you do that you may have to lift up on both arms to allow them to clear the saddle they sit on. Then pull it out, as mentioned there may be a small strap showing that you can pull on. Should be a 3' rod with a hook provided for that.

ok thanks..yes the saddle, cannot get it to move off saddle. so each side should lift up??? they seem immobile but will try again.
