2022 Hurricane Season

We are packing for a already planned trip for 5 weeks that just happens to coincide with Hurricane Ian which is approaching the Florida gulf coast. We will be gone from coastal SC on Wednesday. Those in the path I am sure are paying close attention to this one.

We are not sure of the final path but we will batten down before leaving.

We've had our TT in 50-60 sustained winds
It should be fine though it feels unsettling in there
Of more importance is do not park under trees
We had a thunderstorm withba microburst over 100 mph that caused damage to RVs but none in the open were overturned
Ones under trees were shattered by falling trees.

In the few storms that I’ve encountered I hooked the car up to the trailer. Don’t know if it helped but it’s still in one piece

We were headed north on I-75 from Knoxville into Kentucky today. It was a constant southbound flow of power company and tree company trucks headed south. I am talking about hundreds of trucks.

Probably a similar number on I-95 too.

I'm hooking my rig up to the truck and headed to W. NC.
