50 to 30 amp connection question

Hey everyone, I'm currently camping and when I plugged the EMS into the 30 amp plug it basically fell out, it was that loose. So I got out my 50 to 30 amp adapter and plugged into that but the adapter is too long and the EMS just lays on the ground and I didn't want that so I zip tied it a little higher. Here's a pic of how I did it.

My question is about another type of adapter and I wanted some opinions on whether it would work without over heating. With this adapter I could plug directly into the 50 amp and then plug the EMS into that without any elevation loss so to speak. This is the one I was looking at: https://www.amazon.com/ABN-Plug-Adap...ct_top?ie=UTF8

You're better off with what you have and tying it up like you did. The one you are looking at are the ones that are known to fail/overheat. Or buy this one....

Also with that straight adapter you won’t be able to close the lid.

I’ve used the one Grumpy recommended from progressive and haven’t had any issues. But closing the cover at some parks has been an issue. If I think it’s going to rain then I just loosely put a trash bag over it.
