A/C Setting

We are snowbirds at RV park in Bonita Springs Florida. Will be leaving for about 2 weeks over the holidays. Plan to pull slides in, put in some extra Damp Rid, and leave main AC on. What is best temperature to set AC at?

78 to 80° , at least thats what I would use.

I'd say 80-85 would be good. You want it to run enough to that it keeps the humidity down, but not necessarily keep the unit "cool". Enjoy your holidays back home!

I’m a south Florida native & my rv is setup permanently about 200 miles south of Bonita Springs. There is no need to pull your slides in or put out damp rid this time of year. Set ac @80-82 & all will be fine, enjoy!

I would set it at a temperature that you would feel comfortable being in. Myself, I wouldn't set it higher than 75.

Your setting should be based on two factors. How high is the exterior humidity going to be (dry or lots of rain)..
How often it needs to run to keep down the humidity. I keep my mobile home in Venice at 84 during the summer and that allows my AC to run 2 to 6 times a day. That keeps humidity down and we always come back to no mold or mildew. During winter we would have to turn it to 80 or lower to keep it running once or more a day but much less rain and humidity.
Check your AC air filters if you have them before you leave.
