Adding a second awning

So last year we discussed how functional (or crazy) it would be to add an additional awning onto our 5th wheel's passenger slide. Now we see that the manufacturers are adding this option onto the new models. Has anyone here actually added one to theirs? Is it even possible? Manual vs. power? Is that additional weight bad for the slide? I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap!

There was a 5er in our park last year with an awning attached to a 14' slide. It was manual and it gave them a lot more covered area. We thought about it but bought an ez up instead.

Talked to our local Jayco dealer today...sure, one can be added...for $1200. And that's for a manual one.

That is why we bought the ez up. Right around $100 and it can be erected where shade is needed.
