Question Best wash brush for Full Body Paint

Got my new full body paint 5th wheel and I am trying to decide if I should go with a synthetic or a boars hair brush for my washing. Anyone using the boars hair brush? Is it really softer than the synthetics and better for your paint?

Thanks in advance...

I cannot help with your direct question. I did buy a new brush, no clue what the bristles are made of. My old one had shorter bristles and very 2D shape, just flat. I did not like it for the TT, with a long handle. Bought a new one with longer bristles. The bristles has a 90 degree wrap up the front of the brush head. I like this design with a long handle. It gets up under the awning, gutters, windows.

Good luck, let us know what you get and how well it works.

I use an artificial fiber brush with a long handle that telescopes and can be attached to a hose. Simple and effective. Never damaged my car or camper decals. Most important to me is the rinsing and then using lots of soap to prevent the dust and mud from scratching as you brush it.

We wash cars, trucks, RV's and four charter-type buses with a brush from NAPA. It won't scratch anything. The brush has soft blue fibers and a handle is extra.

I use 2 separate brushes. One is a black head and red bristle Libman. I use that on the roof. It's a fairly soft brush but yet stiff enough to clean the porous roof material. From my purchasing dealer I saw they had a blue bristle rush that's pretty darn soft. I use that on the body and a pretty fair amount of soap. It works well, has never scratched or swirled. It doesnt get the bugs off the front very well, but I tackle that differently anyway. Unfortunately, I dont see any markings on the blue one as to who makes it, part numbers, etc. My selling Dealer is Gilette's RV in Lansijg, Mi. If you call them they can tell you more if you're interested.

I saw these brushes at the RV show yesterday, and thought of your question.

Check out Shurhold brushes, shurhold.com.

I have used them for 20 plus years. Started using them on my boat, now I use them on RV and all my vehicles. High quality stuff. Some of the brushes I have are over 20 years old. You can chose from many brush textures, stiff to extra soft. Have not had any issues with extra soft scratching any surface, including boat isinglass. Their stuff is light weight and easy to store also. I like the curved adapter for their handles, you can reach some awkward places a straight handle does not reach as well. They are not the cheapest, but I do not get aggravated using their system like other products.

Go to Carcarez.com and check out the products. Good prices and great products. I purchased the yellow wrap around brush head that will allow a standard paint roller extension arm screw into it. I bought a fiberglass extension pole from lowes (located in the paint dept) for $20 and it works great.
