Boondocking locations

We are planning our spring trip from Florida to New Jersey to see our family. Considering boondocking on travel days to save money for gas! We travel 95. Looking for recommendations of places you have stayed. We did it with our old TT that had a small side slide by staying in truck stops. New TT has a much wider side slide that doesn't really work in truck stops. Need to open slide to get to bedroom and if it is only partially opened the fumes are too much. Thank you in advance.

Hi,
On our first trip to Key West from MA in January. We had to stay winterized for the trip south until at least GA. We knew we had to stop over 1 night without water, etc.
I didn't like the idea of Cracker barrel or Walmart type stuff and she didn't like the idea of truck stops.
She hooked up with Harvest host. Worked out great, cheap, large areas, generators allowed. We stopped at James River Cellars Winery in VA going down and coming back. Nice place, great wine)
Have fun

Not sure about other states. A majority of missouri department of conservation sites have free designated camping areas. If you are lucky, the field will be mowed. Doesn't help you, but does fit under the thread title.
