I utilize simple green. I dilute about 5 to 1, for the really tough spots I will pre treat full strength and let soak. Then a soft bristle brush and good fresh water rinse. Then I treat with a good roof protectant. I only find myself cleaning it around twice per season.

I use Premium RV Thetford Rubber Roof Cleaner & Conditioner. It does a decent job at best. Not sure you'll ever get it factory clean again. Recommend you use a sponge mop and two buckets - one with water and one with the cleaner. Do your best not to let the liquid run down the sides as it could leave streaks. Although, I've not seen any when I used the hose to rinse off the cleaner. Nonetheless, best to be as careful as you can.

4U Cleaner. By far the best all around cleaner I've ever used on my RV.

Alpha ply recommend me to use Murphy oil soap or dawn, I used MOS, 2 days ago. That did a great job, the roof looks a lot cleaner, not like new but close. I'm not sure about the benefit though, but I took the opportunity to inspect the sealant and all is good .

My problem is the awning near the roof, its stained and nothing seems to take them off, name it I've tried it, Clorox, magic eraser, oxyclean, vinyl cleaner for car interior, high pressure was...no succes, so im done , I wont look at the awning anymore :-)

Very good article about cleaning your roof.
Thanks for thst article. We recently had to move our trailer to a different storage facility. Today we visited to put on an a/c cover and noticed a lot of sap on the roof. :-(

X2, Great article, I have heard citrus cleaners were really bad for rubber roofs and this just confirms it.

My roof is the Alpha ply, which has an orange peel texture, and I used Spic and Span and it cleaned up easily and very well.
