Electrical problem

I cranked the generator today which is a built in onan like I try to do around the first of every month. After around 10 minutes of running the tv, fan, and heat pump stops working. I tried flipping all the breakers and all the gfci outlets as well that I could find. I restarted the generator as well a couple times and keep getting the same results.

When the generator is running the microwave works, the island outlets, and the bedroom ac but nothing else. The living room ac tvs and the rest of the outlets don't work as well as the ceiling fan.

As soon as I turn back on the shore power everything works fine.

Anybody have any ideas what could be wrong or what happened?

There are two breakers on the front of the geny, under the cover. Did one of them trip?

"I tried flipping all the breakers and all the gfci outlets as well that I could find."

That doesn't make any sense to me.

Like Grumpy said, check on the generator itself. There should be a couple of breakers on it and perhaps one of them is tripped.

That was the problem grumpy. Thank you

The 20 amp breaker was the one to go. I was able to figure out what caused it as well.

I had never run the heat pump on the generator. Obviously it draws more amps than the ac does. It keeps throwing the 20 amp which it is on. I got it to do it a couple times to make sure then ran the ac with no problem.
