EQ Equalizer System

Hi.

I just changed our the house battery and now all the lights on my EQ panel are staying on. Pressing the power button doesnít turn the panel off. Thoughts?

Can I drive my RV with these lights on?

Thanks,
Kathleen

My issue with the equalizer system is that it will not retract. What is the problem?

We finally decided to press the retract button. The system seemed to retract just enough to clear the problem. I guess it didn’t retract 100% last time we used it.

Did you do anything between the time it did not retract and you press the button again?

I disconnect all batteries while stored so the parasitic drain doesn't deplete the batteries before the next use. Each time I do so, the EQ does what yours did. Pressing the retract button seems to "reboot" the system and all works well.

Also, check the two small electrical connections at the hydraulic pump. I found they work themselves loose from vibrations while driving, and that causes all sorts of issues. On mine there was a nut on the post, then the connection, then another nut, which is all supposed to hold things tight. Problem was, there was no lock washer on either nut - only a thin serrated washer on the first nut. I put lock washers on each one and no more working loose.

It's not uncommon for the EQ system to sense that some of the outriggers are down, even if they all appear to be up. We've seen it from time to time while traveling. Per the manual, this is normal behavior and just selecting Retract All is the right course of action.

Got them manually retracted after talking to 3 service people. Will get it into repair shop to see what's wrong. Thanks.
