first time owners

Hello everyone old saying can't teach old dogs tricks. With that being said in my old age the wife and I are living part time in pup my question is can you tie down the pup to keep from rocking and can you use jack stands to help sturdy the pup.

CD,

I don't see why not (jack stands) as long as you don't overstress your built-in stabilizer jacks.

I don't think I would try and tie down the roof, as that might strain the roof raising/lowering mechanism.

What, exactly, are you experiencing that you would want to tie it down for?

I would agree w/John from Central Florida. I wouldn't apply pressure anywhere that might cause undo or unnatural strain on joints/welds/lifters/etc. For your situation I would also get a sign "If the Jayco's rocking, don't bother knocking"

Thanks John for information. No certain reason for tie down not on roof but underneath. If in danger of high wind we would be getting out of Dodge and heading inward. lol

Welcome to the forum from Midway USA!

If you get half as much enjoyment as DW and I got from our Pup, you're in for one heck of a good time.

I started pup camping in the early 1970s with an old Nimrod (remember those?). Then on into Colemans. About three years ago we traded our pup for a hard shell and got immediately spoiled with its roominess and comforts.
