Question Gard Group Product

Hi everyone,

We are in the process of trading our White Hawk 23MBH for a roomier White Hawk 28DSBH! The dealer is offering this product GardGroup. It's the first time I've heard of it. It's supposed to improve the shine on your trailer and protect it from ice, snow, bird droppings, UV fading, etching etc.. It is gaurenteed to work for 5 years and supposed to be virtually maintenance free. I was wondering if anyone has heard or used this product. Does it work well? Anyone recommend not getting it applied! Thank you!

I was offered the same exterior protection on my White Hawk 27dsrl in July. My opinion is follow the cleaning recommendations in the owners manual and include the use of 303 protectant on vinyl, rubber, and tire surfaces.

Same here the dealer " camping world" wanted a big chunk of change to do the service and I opted out. Wasn't worth it. I'd rather be the one waxing and sealing it knowing what I did etc..

Thanks, going to think about doing it myself! Wife is worried after the 5 year guarantee that they walls might turn yellow from the product!

Yes , I'll probably just do it myself. They want more than a grand + to do it! Doesn't seem to be worth it!

These things just don't pass the smell test. Nothing but good 'ol ADP (added dealer profit).

"Of course you will want to get the extended coverage warranty, undercoating, plastic seat covers, snake oil, electric spark plug gapper and real authentic fake hubcap liners, don't you sir", said the salesman to the unsuspecting buyer? "

"Why do I need those", I asked?

"Because they're shiny", replied the salesman.

"Oh, well in that case, ...stuff it!"

Walk away!

I think so, I've been asked several times what I use for wax. Didn't have the interior done.

The product my dealer used has a 5yr warranty against faded decals, if also has a retreat clause, if needed.

All I can add is a lot depends on how you feel about your dealer, in my case been using the same one since 1977. The same applies to the extended warranty. If it's backed by the dealer with a 0 deductible at their facility and a pro-rated refund, no reason to be skeptical in my opinion.
