Before you change out your headlights make sure they are aimed correctly and the bulbs are properly in place. Also make sure voltage to headlights is proper.

Had a new bulb put in my old Jeep and they guy did not snap it into place so only part of light went outside. Yours shouldn't be dim due to age or bad lenses but worth double checking.

I changed mine out to LED and they made a world of difference. Wasn’t a cheap switch-out but defiantly worth every penny. I also have air bags to nudge me up an inch to level when towing.

Aiming my headlamps helped.

But what really helped brighten things up was cataract surgery.

I suspect LEDs might have been cheaper, however.

A few years ago, I tested the LED replacement on one of the motorcycles as a toss up between HID and LED. After one year of use, I was sold and replaced them all on two bikes with LED. Still working as bright as day one.

So, this year I bit it and replaced the entire front of the truck, all six bulbs, with LED. No more halogen for me, ever. They begin to dim from the moment they are first lit up.
