You still have to take the total weight of hitch and vehicles when deciding the total capacity capability of the tow vehicle. On top of it all it adds to hitch wieght. I have a Hensley hitch Arrow. They are heavy but after being I an accident with it I will never tow without one. . Beyond a doubt we would be dead without it.
