Hitches

So my family and I are in the process of upgrading from a TT to a fifth wheel. We just traded in our 2500 for a 3500. We are going to be trading in for the North Point 377rlbh. My question is, since my new truck is a short bed will I need a slider hitch? Or does the 377rlbh have reliefs on the front cap to accommodate for short beds. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the truck and the upgrade.

I'm sure there will be members along that will have some helpful information.

It has “some” relief. I have a short bed with a manual slider. I’ve used my slider once...I don’t know that I needed it, but I went ahead and slide it back just in case. Otherwise, if you’re careful, you may be able to get away without the slider. I just like having the option Incase it looks like I might need it. That’s my .02 cents. Good luck and congrats on the new truck and soon to be 5er!

Congratulations and welcome!

My previous truck was a short bed, and like Dan I had a manual slide and only used it once. I liked the peace of mind knowing it was available though.
