Hub O Meter

I can never remember how many miles I have put on my Jayfeather with Dexter EZ Lubes. Is there a Hub O Meter or some such mileage indicator I can buy and install on it?

Stemco Hubodometer make a product that will work for you. You need to get the one that matches the tires size on your RV otherwise the readings will be incorrect.

Hub-o-meter? I thought my wife used it to tell if I was telling the truth.

I don't know what type of truck you have but my RAM has a trailer odometer that tracks the mileage while towing. Can track I think up to 6 different trailers.

Maybe not necessary and not sure of your usage, we travel constantly and it has become a pratice to lube bearings twice a year. Before traveling to our winter camp and after arriving back. We have been full timers for ten years now and although we may not put that many miles on our RV, it is better not to worry and track milage. Like sanitation, air/water filters, slider seal lubing, roof maintenance, tire inspection. It just seams natural to complete bearing lubrication at the same time. I purchased a cordless grease gun and at the time of tire inspections it works for me to flush the hubs.

Easy peesy…

Do you jack it up and go the full route with the grease gun or just give it 3 or 4 shots Don?

To do it right there are no shortcuts. A good Dexter video on how to do it right:

I just keep a separate mileage log for my trailer that I fill out after every trip.
