You just described every experience I've ever had with any RV dealer I've ever dealt with.
Since my last experience, during which I walked away from the sale after repeated missed deadlines, I've 1) bought direct through an auction with a dealer friend of mine who I actually trust; and 2) bought from a private party always going into winter when they're 'done' for the year.
Neither transaction took more than 1 hour of my life. it wasn't even about the money at that point; it was about not being used like toilet paper.
