LP Cover Took Flight??

Traveling west on I-80 through Wyoming a couple days ago and noticed a black LP cover resting nicley in the medium....., can only assume the typical unruly Wyoming crosswinds removed the cover from an RV.

As a precaution I later decided to snug my cover down with a short bungee cord. The LP cover has a convenient tab at the bottom, and the battery support made the job easy.

You really start scratching your head when you see an air-condtioner shroud along the road.

We also have that style cover, but it doesn't fit as tight as the ones without the door on top. We've always hooked a mini bungee from tab to tab under the tanks. That was until this year, when the tabs broke off. Had to drill a couple of 1/8" holes above where the tabs were. tie a few knots in the mini bungee, and rehook it.

Ours is white....maybe only the black ones fly away!

When I asked the dealership why isn't the cover secured, they told me they will never fly off. Really? I didn't trust them so when we had our Open Range TT, I would just put a ziptie through both tabs as I very seldom needed to remove the cover. But beware, those holes aren't very strong and can break as I found out. I was able to adjust the distance of the two tanks that really made the cover secured when down on the tanks.
