We purchased a 9' x 12' polypropylene woven mat from Walmart for about $50 and used it for 2 months straight while TT camping in the high Sierras over the summer.

It held up great under heavy traffic (and our dog) and when we finally brought it home after our trip, all I did was hose it off and let it dry and it still looks practically brand new.

I think Walmart sells the same mat in a 6' x 9' configuration.

Pending on your vehicle, some people will strap them to the bumper or tongue area if they are wet and muddy.

We got somewhere a thin rubber floor runner (maybe it came with our SBH). Maybe 3' x 8' (??). It has worked really nicely. Fairly thin and light, durable. If it is wet and muddy, when rolled up it takes very little space, can fit in a trash bag, more often just tossed in the back of the truck. When not in use, normally it is rolled out flat inside our TT.

Not a perfect way to keep the mat from getting heavy, but we use some 6mil visqueen from HD under ours and it keeps the mud away and water runs downhill and usually we are packing up a mostly dry and clean rug while folding up the visqueen into a small thin 'package' and storing in one of the cubby's. The plastic is easier to clean than the rug.

We have one of the plastic woven mats. If it gets wet, I roll it up about an hour before we leave then stand it on end. Most of the water will drain off in a few minutes. Sometimes I'll flip ends and get a little more water.

I was hesitant on this Amazon purchase, I'd prefer to buy from someone local but couldn't find anything from the RV dealer showroom under $160. This matt has been really nice, easily folds up the same way each time, dries out quickly, dirt falls away quickly and easily. Is basically the same footprint as our awning. Makes it nice to be able to enjoy the entire awning area. Water/mud will make it's way to the surface if it was already wet/muddy underneath. It's mesh construction allows this.

I bought a 6X8 mat from Cherrybrook Pet supply over 10 years ago. They still have them for $29.99 and call them exercise pen ground covers, but they are exactly the same patterns as ones I have seen on camping world site for 3x the cost. The description even calls them RV Rugs. They drain beautifully and when we bought it, it came in a plastic package that could be used to transport. Or fold it up and put it in a large garbage bag. Easily hoses off at home.
