Places that need campgrounds

We were coming through Denver on I70 East and started looking for campgrounds with not much luck. Most places wouldn't answer the phone or were full. The we headed up I76 East with the same results. Stopped in a Walmart for the night in some small town and there were at least 10 others campers there.

I though Hmmmm. Wonder if anyone else has found places that need campgrounds?

Not many private campgrounds coming through Denver. Lots of state and national parts 20 miles off the main highway, but generally booked.

Next time through, book one of our state parks, or check out the colorado campers social group and send one of us a note for recommendation

Thanks for the info!! I was thinking of places that need one from a business perspective. Maybe for building a campground one day. It just made me think with all those people in the Walmart parking lot that other places may need them too.
