Refrigerator drain clogged

Have an Eagle FW and found the refrigerator drain is clogged, the trough under the cooling fins that has it's drain hole that plugs into the drain plug in the back seems clogged. I ran a small wire down it without success, then brought my small air compressor and tried to blow it out without success as well. Looking under the trailer I cannot find where the drain tube is or goes. Maybe it empties into the grey water tank. Thanks guys. - Jay

It's behind the outside fridge vent.

X2......But clean the little plug with small hole but don't remove it, as insects might crawl up the hose (and eat your steaks.....lol)

I have similar problem in a Jayco 248RBSW. Water condensation doesn't seem to drain; didn't have anything with me on the road to try to fix. Gonna try a small telephone wire first. A miniature plunger would be nice...

You can pull the little plug out by the drain pan (back of the fridge) and clean it.

Talking Refrigerator condensation drain

Apparently my drain was working better than originally expected.

I did take a small copper wire (telephone wire) AWG 22?, and snake it down the hole inside the fridge. It did finally cause the water to drain.

In opening cover on the outside of the trailer, my drain hose comes down to a black catch-basin, which did have a lot of water, indicating that it was working previous to me 'fixing' it. The bottom of the hose a small black-plastic insert, which has a small hole ('anti-bug?'), which was not blocked.

I also noted that if the trailer is not level side-to-side, the water does not drain well, and may overflow into the bottom of the fridge, with no where to go.

Inside the fridge, the water seemed to have a lot of surface tension, and didn't want to drain easily... I sprayed a little "409" on it to break the surface tension.

Seems to be working OK, but something I'll keep on eye on. Adding the small copper wire to my toolbox; and next time I'm at the hobby shop, need to look for "pipe cleaners."

My first mod was to route that drain out of a vent hole in the cover. No more overflows.
