Shades vs Blinds

We have a 2019 JayFlight and are not fans of the black shades. They don't hide much at night and one of the strings has already broke. Has anyone changed their shades and installed blinds? Not looking for the thin ones like those installed at the kitchen window; considering the fake wood ones. Also, besides lifting them up and looping the strings around a hook, what do you do to keep them from banking around and hitting the wall? Thanks!

We just put in pleated shades in our Jayco. They keep the light out. My wife made curtains that helps. They look good and work good.
We went to camping world and they removed 4 from a motor coach because the new owner did not like the color. They were $8.00 each. They had a clearance table and we were lucky.

We had blinds and have installed shades. We got tired of the clatter. Last camper we went with less expensive and had a lot of problems. This time we went with good quality. No strings. If they fit right then you can't see any light leaking out at night. My cousin sells blinds and the fit is very important.
