St. Louis, Missouri RV parks

Hi folks.. Although a Good Sam member, not certain that I trust some of the reviews posted on their site for RV parks in St. Louis. The areas the parks are in seem questionable. Anyone have first hand experience on a safe, but easy access to the arch RV park?
Thanx!!!
Marge

It was 4 years ago but we stayed here -
Eureka, Missouri Campground | St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA

It's a little past St Louis (45 minutes roughly) but it was nice, clean and easy to get to from the highway.

There is a good BBQ joint about 10 minutes away called Super Smokers BBQ.

You might try Lakeside 370; it's a relatively new park that has RV camping owned and operated by the city of St. Peters.

There is a gated RV park in north St. Louis (I'll be honest; not the best of areas but it is gated and has security:

MO state Park nearby is Babler:

and there is another park in St. Charles near the casino:

I'd suggest camping and then taking Uber or Lift to your destinations.

We're going to St. Peters next week for a night or two to 'shake down' our new 27.5 RLTS

Last year we stayed at the Casino Queen RV park in E. St. Louis. It is right across the river from St. Louis. The rates were reasonable and the park was very nice with friendly helpful staff. There is a light rail which stops near the casino. Hop on the train and it will take you into St. Louis. It stops within a couple blocks of the arch. I'm looking forward to staying there again.

We just stayed in Fenton, MO for a week. There are three campgrounds back to back there and we stayed at Babs.

It was a nice place to park, but all of our activities with the family was outside of the campground. No frills, but great and responsive owners. 175/week with concrete pad and 50amp hookups.
