Sometimes at the PDI these little leaks do show or occur due to time, pressure and let's not forget over the road ratteling that will occur. It's the bigger obvious things that get by PDI which has you scratching your head as to what some dealers PDI actualy entails.

I noticed a little moisture around the supply line fitting where it attaches to the toilet when I ran a little water after I was finished. Just wondering if anybody has ever had a problem with this line leaking where it threads into toilet or replaced this supply line with something of better quality. The line runs into the side of the bathroom cabinet and disappears from there. I guess it ties in somewhere near the back of the camper behind the cabinet.
Mine leaks like a ... from there... only occasionally.. been a real problem trying to get the dealer to fix it.... cause of course it wont do it on his lot.... soooo I have a vid of it leaking... that I will show him when I get home.... he better darn well fix it this time....

Ok, so I have this very intermittent leaky toilet problem. It seems to happen when I am depressing the foot pedal half-way to fill the toilet but I don't notice any leaks until sometime later. I would say on 1 out of 50 flushes, I will see a small puddle in front of the toilet and it looks like it's coming from underneath. Haven't been able to determine its source thus far but from the sounds of this thread, perhaps I am experiencing the dreaded valve problem.

I bought this 22FB used so no warranty

How can I tell what specific model of toilet I have? Armed with that info, I can contact Thetford and maybe finagle a free valve out of them.

Look for the label behind the toilet by the valve as seen in this Pic, you should be able to peel it off. It contains the model # to give to the rep when you call.

Your symptoms sound like the beginnings of this problem, and most seemed to occur in the 2010 model year.
More info is available in my thread and also the RVnet link in my thread.

We had a 2010 22FB (recently sold) and Crabman's description and picture are right on the money. It was intermittent. If you search the Web you will discover it is a common problem w/ your model toilet. Even if you have pay for the kit from Thetford, I think it is only ilke 26$ or so. It includes all the parts and instructions.

Super, Mike... I will pursue this. When does your new trailer come in?

BTW, did you tow the 22FB with the 4Runner? How was that?

Hi Quahog,

Our 308RETS will be here around mid March. We towed our 22FB w/ the 4Runner the first year we had it. It towed fine, but it sure did drink a lot of gas. We needed to sell our 2nd car and wanted to keep the 4Runner as we really like it. And we knew we already needed a larger trailer as it has turned out that we usually end up taking my daughter, son in law, and grandson w/ us camping. Sort of cramped in the 22FB. So, we bought a bigger tow vehicle for our future bigger trailer, and thus retired the 4Runner from tow duty.

Well, here's hoping to you really enjoying the new TT. That will seem like quite a step up for sure. You're going to love it.

I know what you mean about it drinking the gas... this summer, we'll find out how well our Tundra does on a long distance but I know on a windy day, I am only getting around 9 mpg. Ugh.

I contacted Thetford and they sent me the water valve assembly to fix it. The stuff came last night so I will install it as soon as I can get to it. Thanks again for the info!
