Water Pump/Strainer Location

Jayco 2021 Alante 26x

I replaced the water filter yesterday and was trying to locate the water pump/strainer and clean the strainer out. I have the Nautilus water system and tried to look behind it, but it’s a tight space.
Any ideas on the location?

On every one I've seen, it's literally attached TO the water pump. Between the intake hose and the pump housing itself.

And it doesn't take much at all to clog them up.

Beware asking Jayco where it is located. I did the whole contact with info and VIN # and they told me for my 2023 Redhawk 26M it was behind the water intake selection valves......Nope. It was under the drawers next to the toilet. Makes me suspect of any other requests.

You also can turn on the pump and listen carefully inside and outside for the noise. If there isn't any water in the freshwater tank, the pump can run dry for quite a while without any damage to it. If you have water in it, turn a faucet on a little, and listen for it to pulse on and off.

Great idea and it worked! It’s right next to the main water filter I just replaced, slightly higher. I’ll have to play a few games of “twister” to get limbered up to get to it.
Thanks.

I'm glad you found it. RV's are sometimes like a puzzle.

Ours is easy, behind the door under the fridge. I don't dare to do any twister exercising. The noises my body would make will scare people and cause them to call 911!
