Water softeners

Going full time this coming February and curious if anyone uses/has recommendations for water softeners? Also curious what it does for water pressure that's already regulated to about 40 psi. All guidance is very much appreciated!

The PO of our last motorhome had installed one of these but we didn't use it for the short time we had it;

Portable Double Standard Water Softener & Conditioner - On the Go OTG3-DSOFT - Fresheners & Softeners - Camping World

They were full-timers and it seems to be one of the more popular systems.

We have the same “scuba tank” [emoji3]

It works well and it is easy to recharge. I don’t noticed any drop in water pressure but I never hook up without it. Using it full time will help eliminate mineral build up in your water heater. Also, the soft water helps prevent build up on the holding tank walls.

We also have the same water softener and love it. In the Cameo we had to leave it outside. In the Pinnacle there is a spot for a 3rd propane tank. The dealership installed waterlines (yes we paid for the work) and made sure we are able to use it/not use it (winterizing). We have not noticed any water pressure changes.
