Weighing your rig

I’m curious about my total weight since this will be the first time I flat tow. How do you weigh your RV and toad? Just pull into any truck weigh station? Thanks

As you said weigh-station and ad all the axles over the scale.

Just pull in and most have a button at the end just push it and they will ask you is this your first and you just tell them no and they will weight it and say see you inside and that's it.

Unless you want to do the 3 weigh thing to get all the info including toung weight.
Weigh with WDH hooked up. Weigh again with it unhooked then weigh only your tow vehicle.

If you use a CAT scale - the first weigh is $12. the second one that same day is $2.50.

The most economical way... Weigh your rig with the WD bars hooked up. Front Axle on Plate 1, Drive Axle on plate 2 and trailer on plate 3.

Disconnect in a parking spot and re-weigh the Tow vehicle with the tow vehicle on Plate 1 and 2. You can extrapolate the weight from there.

I think they mean flat towing a car. It looks like they have a red hawk. Same principle applies but normally will not need to disconnect and weigh twice.
The first time is a little intimidating but the process really is simple. There are a few videos on you tube. One thing to note is the cat scales are axle weights only and don't provide individual tire weights. Useful to verify front to back loading but not accurate enough for adjusting tire pressures.

Yes I'll be flat towing a 2017 Wrangler for the first time, and I do have a Redhawk. Thanks
