Close to home as in Algonac State Park?
They are open year round but power only. No water or restrooms/showers until they officially open. Last week the ice was barely a foot from making to M-25 in front of the park. Hopefully the snow and salt on the roads are gone long before then.
Both Canadian and US Puddle Pirate Cutters are going to have their hands full for the next few months. The big water has a TON of ice out there!
