where to hunt for a golf cart

Our campground allows golf carts. I've been scouring craigslist and the like for a cheaper one, but have kinda been striking out. Where are you all sourcing golf carts for campgrounds from on the cheap? I'd probably prefer getting one that needs a little love and making it our own along the way.

We bought ours for the farm from a local place that rents out fleets to golf courses & special events . On CL, be sure & check the " search nearby " box to enlarge search. Is there a Golf car trader ?

Craigslist if you know enough to tell good batteries or engines from worn out ones. Estate sales near over 55 communities.

If you go electric know that battery replacements are hundreds of dollars, but good maintenance will make them last for years.

On gas ones, watch out for bad transmissions, they take a beating.

Those batteries are rough. I just had (6) 8 volt Trojans put on DW's cart plus a few new cables for $920 . We got 2 years on the batteries that came on the used cart so no gripe. There are some cheaper batteries but have had great life out of the Trojan.

X2 on your local golf course. If they don't sell on annual changeout then they will direct you to where.
