Greetings from Colorado

About 6 years ago my wife and I went camping with the family. At that time we were in a tent. And it rained the entire weekend.

Came back home and bought a light weight popup camper. I fixed some things up in it. We had it for a couple of years and then decided, since we were getting older and the frequent trips in the middle of the night to the Vaults was getting old, to upgrade to a camper that had a bathroom.

Bought an 18ft Shasta Oasis. I added a second battery and propane tank, a couple of other little conveniences and we thought we were good to go.

Then we got a dog. A Rottweiler, to be specific. The last weekend in August this year we decided that since sh was the size of a small teenager and once we both retire we want to do more traveling that this Shasta wasn't going to fit the bill long term.

So last weekend we bought a 2019 Jayco JayFeather 27BH. We got a great deal on it and so far it's been real nice. Got all our stuff loaded in to it and still have room left over

Now we're just looking for a place near home here in Colorado (near Denver) where we can get it out for a weekend before the campgrounds close up for the year.

Make sure you make reservations, even in the fall on weekends a lot of the campgrounds fill up.

Congrats. Lake Pueblo State Park always has spots open on weekends. Anything closer to Denver is usually booked up, although I just grabbed a spot at Chatfield for this upcoming Friday night. Somebody must have cancelled. Good luck and safe travels!

We're heading up to St Vrain on the 14th for 2 days. It's pretty close to home so if there's anything that we need we won't be too far away.

I've picked up some MaxxAir covers for the vents and a new hitch lock. That hitch is hard to find a lock for because of how wide it is.

I'll get some pictures while we're out and post them up here.
