Hello

Hello everyone, I am new to the RV world and would greatly appreciate any tips and suggestions. My spouse and I recently purchased a 2019 Jayco North Point.

Well hello and welcome.
First congrats on the new rig. Many adventures ahead of you.
My biggest suggestion is to watch you tube videos till your eyes fall out lol. For you I would start with the essentials video.

I subscribe to "keep your daydream" A lot of tips. And fails to help you prepare.

I follow "Duet Justice" for all our remodeling and upgrades.

And "Cheap RV living" for meet ups. Camping destinations.

That being said though it's the adventure not the destination that's important. Even the bad things that happen are part of the fun.. There's an amazing supportive community here. You can message me anytime. Im no expert lol but I'll help where I can. Welcome to RV life.

Welcome to the Forum from Western New York State! You've just joined the best Forum on the planet! Many take their first camping trip to Camp Driveway, or a campground that's close to home. That way if there's something necessary that you've forgotten, it's not far away. There are several check lists on the forum, and web, that will help with everything from packing the camper, to setting up, and breaking camp. You can laminate your favorite ones, and use dry erase markers. Google "RV checklists", and you'll get several to choose from, that can be printed off.

Once you're set up, have a pen and paper to jot down things you've forgotten, as you think of them. That can also include questions you want to ask us here.

Congratulations on the North Point!

Welcome from California. I joined the forum 6 months before we purchased our trailer. My best tip is to spend some time reviewing this forum. You will find that when you read one thread it brings up other questions. It was our first trailer too so my best suggestion is to make sure you that you create/carry a checklist that includes preparing for a trip, loading, hitching, unhitching, and entering and leaving a campground. There are a number of lists around, find one and then adapt it to your own situation.

New to the rv world and you purchased a Northpoint??? Talk about go big or go home! I like you already!!
Welcome to the forum from Muchigan and congrats on the rig!
First rule on the forum is we need pics or it didn't happen. Lol! I also agree with the other posts, if you can, make your first shakedown in the driveway and have a checklist of things you may have forgotten. However, you may have a house on wheels so try not to over pack and overload it. That can be very easy to do. Itll take a few trips to get into a routine of how to hook up and check off things before you head down the road, just take your time. If you have any questions feel free to pm me or reach out to the members and start a thread. This is a great family of members here!
