Hello from a year long lurker

I've enjoyed the Jayco Owners Forum for a year now,so I thought I should introduce myself. I'm Dave and my wife is Debbie. We have an 11 1/2yo daughter and a nearly 8yo son.

I've been camping since I was a small kid. My parents did tents, then a pop-up. My wife and I started tenting back in the '90's. We bought a used luxury pop-up 11 years ago. Traded up to a used 26' Outback 7 years ago and bought our new 2018 Jay Flight 32BHDS just over a year ago. We're not new to towing as we've had a horse trailer for nearly 30 years.

Normally we camp in Michigan at one of our membership campgrounds. But we just got back from a 2400 mile round trip with our Jay Flight (Michigan to Disney Fort Wilderness Campground in Orlando). It pulled like a dream with our F150 3.5 EcoBoost and a 14K Equal-i-zer hitch.

Welcome...

My wife and I started very young and have been RVing for almost 50 years together now. It gets in your blood for sure. Meet the best people and make some great friends.

Your kids will remember all these RV trips and look back at them with a smile when they get older...I know ours have. Our son actually bought his family a 5th wheel trailer (Jayco Eagle) a few years ago and introduced his family to the fun.

Safe travels to you and yours!

Welcome!

I'm sure you had a great time at Fort Wilderness Campground. It's one of our favorite places. We're hoping to do it again when we retire.

Yes, we loved Fort Wilderness. We are Disney fanatics (At least 2 times a year, 25 weeks there in the last 12 years and 5 Disney cruises). It's nice to stay on property while still feeling very relaxed. We're planning a couple weeks there again in 2 years.

Congratulations on the new Jayco and welcome to the forum.

DW and I took essentially the same RVing route as you - tent, popup, TT - and are Disney fans as well. We were residents of MI, too, but the lower left side of 'the mitten'.

Looking at all the states you visited, I guess I'm just a noob.
