Hello from North Georgia!

Hubby and I just bought our first TT, a 2013 SLX 154 BH. No owners manual, so I ordered one and downloaded a copy. As the dealer was explaining the water system pumps/heaters/tanks and winterizing (luckily that's a way off) we nodded and thought...OMG...where's our old tent! But the trailer is adorable and it's hooked up to the house while we begin the learning/packing process in earnest. Our first trip is close by THIS weekend.

We have a nice checklist but we need to buy more stuff before Friday.

Doing some reading about camping accessories can save you some big $$$. There are so many products out there that only you can determine if you need or want.

Learning the camper in the driveway and on short trips is a great way to find out what you need ...and what you don't need!

2011- 351RLTS Eagle, MorRyde suspension/pin box,
2017- F350 6.7 PSD Lariat FX4,SRW, SB,CC
Gator roll-up bed cover
B&W Turnover ball, Companion Std hitch

Welcome to the bunch here... Just head out camping in the high country around GA, ALA, and NC. You are very close to some of the very good camp grounds.

Just keep in mind that LOWES and WALMART will have anything you need that you didnt think to bring along...

Maybe we will catch up with you at CLOUDLAND CANYON at the Trenton exit on I59 in north GA. One of our most favorite camp sites.

Welcome aboard...

Thanks, all!

We're familiar with Cloudland - our girls went to horse camp up there for a few years before we got horses of our own. It's beautiful up there! I already have a list of places we want to camp and ready-made farm sitters to stay here and take care of the animals (our four now-grown children swear spending quiet time on the farm is also a vacation for them. We've spent too many years (imo) thinking we were tied to the farm because, well, you are tied to a farm when animals need to be fed twice a day, turned out/in, etc. It's time to loosen our own cords a little. Can't wait!
