Hello, I'm New Here and Living in VA

Hi folks I'm new to the forum.

In 2021, I purchased my first travel trailer, a 2016 Whitehawk 29BHS (Jayco of course). I bough it in California then used it during my family's move from Sacramento to Northern Virginia over the summer. We saw some great sights and I learned quite a bit about my trailer during that drive. I also learned just how bad California roads are in comparison to most of the nation.

I'm still very much a novice when it comes to travel trailers, maintenance, and finding quality campsites. I've yet to boondock and I'm frankly a bit nervous to based on the number of times I have to dump our grey water on weekend trips with my wife and two kids, though I know there are numerous ways we could conserve water.

I look forward to learning from you all and sharing some experiences along the way.

Dillon

Hey Dillon,
I’m new here myself, but it sounds like you have a good handle on this RV’ing thing pretty well! It’s just like every other thing we do in life. The more you do it, the better you get at it. No worries. The CoolCats here are more than happy to share their experiences and proven skill sets! Have a great RV season with your family and welcome to the forum.

Hello Dillon and welcome to the forum! I'm a bit envious with your location in Virginia. You so close to so many historical places and your pick of mountain getaways and countless beach destinations. This is a great place for advice on just about anything involving camping.
