Jay Series 8SD lugs and nuts

Recently 2 lug nuts came off of my left wheel. The lug holes were badly damaged and the wheel almost came off while driving. Repair is now complete, and I'm making sure that I use the right lugs, lug nuts, and tighten them with a torque wrench.

Does anyone know the exact lug nut type and the socket needed for it?

Are the nuts the same for attaching the spare wheel to its carrier?

Crazily, the lug nuts on the spare tire carrier are often NOT the same as the wheels. It must save 3 cents each. Take your best remaining lug nut to a tire store, autozone, NAPA or similar and one of them will sell you a new set. Look online for your manual to get the torque settings. Avoid over tightening as it can ruin threads or bend wheels.

Welcome to JOF! I found in my TT manual it had a chart for torque values. I was glad I found it, whether online or not, because it was quite specific as to the torque procedure. For my wheels, it said to torque to 70#, then 90#, then finish at 115#. And, be aware of the bolt pattern in which to tighten.

Thanks. My manual also shows the required torque values and procedure, however, I had been ignoring them especially with regard to checking often. I've learned my lesson now.

Thanks for the advice. I picked up my repaired camper yesterday. Fortunately the RV dealer that made the repair did use the correct lugs, nuts with bevels, and torqueing procedure.

They also gave me 2 extra nuts. As it turns out, the spare carrier on my popup does have the same threads on the fixed bolts for attaching the spare, and those nuts anchored it well.
