Welcome to the Hooked on Solar club.
You should probably start by telling us the year and model of Redhawk you have.
Someone with that model and year can chime in on the details. The rest of us would be speculating. For example, I'll guess that your inverter is a Xantrex 1000 - because that's whats in my Greyhawk.
If you're brand new to solar, I'd suggest a few youtube videos to get the basics down. But to be off-grid for "a few days" means you'll have to share more about
:
- what appliances you want to run during the day and night
- how many extra batteries you're willing to buy and install
- are you DIY or going to have this done
- budget expectations.
The more stuff you want to run, the more batteries you'll need.
The more batteries you have, the more solar power you need.
The more solar power you need, the more panels you'll need.
The more panels you need, the more expensive the solar charge controller and wiring becomes.
