New from Nova Scotia

Greetings! My husband and I are new to trucks and new to trailering, but our volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity led us to their Care-A-Vanner program, so here we are with a new F150 truck and a new Jayco 23RB - ready to hit the road. We are taking our time trying to learn all we can about our trailer and towing (and there is a lot to learn - starting with an $800 hitch that did not really fit our trailer frame), but we have already started using this forum to help work through our confusion. We have completed 2 shakedown trips, have a to-do and to-buy list that we are steadily working though, and we are definitely looking forward to our travels!

Congratulations on the new Truck & TT, and welcome!

We were in your shoes a few years ago and the best advice we got was just to take everything slow and steady. You'll get more and more comfortable as time goes on (never get complacent or take anything for granted though), and pretty soon you'll be giving advice to newbies.
