New Owner of Jayco 5th wheel

Hello members of Jaycoowners.com.
When I sent this request to become part of this community I had just purchased my 2020 Jayco Eagle. I was so excited to find this forum existed, and my previous Jayco TT was wonderful and helped build a lot of memories. Tomorrow will be exactly 1 month since I took delivery of my new Eagle. All of the features are exactly what I wanted and it looks great when hooked up to my 2020 GMC 3500 HD. Never in my life have I owned anything this nice and earned it all by myself. With this said, in the 30 days of ownership there has been 13 submitted work orders covered by warranty work. Most of these were typical fixed for a new RV, but 3 have left me broken hearted. I want to stay within this forums guidelines and won’t go into the details, but will say the large leaks (caused by the dealers tech’s) has caused significant water damage to the majority of my unit. Jayco and the dealer will simply fix the damage and I will be on my way. My heart is broken because I no longer have the faith and pride of owning a Jayco, and yet, it will be what I own. I haven’t decided if I should be part of this forum since my heart will not be filled with joy like everyone else. Any feedback of support would be appreciated as to whether I should continue as a member. Travel on and God Bless.

If the dealer caused it JAYCO will probably not be involved with the fix. It's just like taking your car to the dealer for service and the tech backs it into a pole. The dealer is at fault not the car company. Your comments have me

We are PO'd at Jayco and the 51 things that have gone wrong with our fiver. The dealer had it more than us. We spent the money, are somewhat disappointed, but will continue to try to enjoy it. Getting there and doing there are the objectives. It still works and we have a jaundice eye towards workmanship and are wondering what will break next. However, it still works and we are not as enthusiastic, We still try to have a positive attitude towards our travels. Don't feel everyone is happy and you are alone. Keep it as long as you can. Fix what you can. When something breaks, ASK! We are here for you and do not feel like you are alone. Continue with the forum. You are not alone.

Welcome Aboard! This site is dedicated to Jayco products, but does not have "ownership" by Jayco. We are independent.

Every camper has some issues, unfortunately some more than others. It is to bad your dealer made things worse with large leaks.

There is nothing wrong with explaining the issues, looking for feedback etc. There are posts about how bad some dealers are. Which is heartbreaking. I wish the RV industry would get better about service, turn around times. Some dealers seem really good, but many are not.

For what it is worth, I do find it interesting your first post came up as "Post 0" Have not seen that before.
