Congratulations and welcome to the forum.
Since you've never owned a camper before, there will be a ton of new things to learn. I suggest that the two of you do the PDI together. Taking videos can help, too.
Usually the person at the dealer doing the PDI has done a lot of them and will conduct it at a rapid pace. You may need to slow them down a bit and ask for clarification for things that don't make sense. Hopefully, too, you will have water and propane in the trailer so the operation of the furnace, fridge, stove, water pump, and water heater can be demonstrated and shown to be in working order.
Don't hesitate to ask questions, both at the PDI and this forum.
