New to this forum...

Hi Everyone,

Last October my wife and I rented an RV for 2 weeks around France and that great experience confirmed for us that we would soon be RV'ers. We've done lots of extended traveling, backpacking, camping, etc, but now we're enjoying the comforts of a nice trailer. Two months ago we bought a new F150, and a month ago we took delivery on a 2018 Eagle HT 27.5RLTS 5th wheel. The truck handles the trailer real well.

So far I've added 2x100 Renogy solar panels-with 2 more panels going on this weekend, another 12V 100ah battery for a total of 3 x 100ah, a DISH Tailgater on the roof, 8" Polk ceiling speakers to replace the OEM's, Locks and chains for the batteries and propane, a WeBoost X-Drive RV cell phone booster with directional antenna (works great-I'm an equities trader so I need good internet most weekdays), digital thermostat, replaced the bath fan with a Maxxair fan and vent cover, and added a few shelves and other little things like that. We use a 3-layer memory foam mattress at home so we duplicated that in the trailer.

Our first outing in the new trailer was a 3 day trip near Monterey Bay, and last week we did 8 days in NorCal wine country. In October we'll do a 3-4 weeks trip through the National Parks on the way to Big Bend NP, then return via Santa Fe, NM and AZ. Next Spring we're planning to do a 2-month trip to the National Parks as far east as Colorado and the Dakotas, and then work our way across the Northern and NW US National Parks.

I've been reading lots of very helpful information here, so Thank you!
