Stopped by to introduce myself

Hello everyone. My Name is Tommy Pizzo. I live in northwest Indiana. First time seeing JOF in a google search I was just at a RV show in northwest of Chicago. And seen a 2018 Jayco Pinnicle 36FBTS and OH MY that is my next 5th wheel. I currently own a 2007 Jayco designer 36 RLTS. Which has been a GREAT 5th wheel and when I was little 35 years ago my parents owned a pop up

I'm not here to complain and I don't have problems with my Jayco with some proper maintenance it's a nice one I did how ever have issues with the weight and towing capacity of my tow vehicle 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 CTD quad cab 4wd didn't like stopping and had some issues with almost rear ending a family of 4 on i65. So we looked at other options and decided it was best to get a bigger tow vehicle. We looked at medium duty trucks and found they was just about the same. So we bought a semi. Yep class 8 freightliner Columbia and it pulls and stops the 5th wheel great. I am a family of 4 so I need the space for riders and I also once I build a bed I'm going to haul a Jeep Wrangler between the truck cab and 5th wheel hitch.

Thanks for allowing me to join and if you all have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Welcome to the forum. You have an amazing tow vehicle. I think you have a tow vehicle that will handle any 5er. I hope you can get your next 5th wheel soon!

Welcome to the JOF and congratulations on your new tow vehicle. When you decide to do something you go all out. You will be able to tow just about anything you set your eyes on. I lived and worked in Valpo in another lifetime so I’m familiar with the general Burns Harbor area. Just curious (almost afraid to ask), how did you arrive at a moniker of Tommy3guns?
Safe travels to you and your family.
