Email

I use to get daily emails showing the latest forum posts but now nothing.
I can’t find a way to have these daily emails sent.
Thanks

If you go to your User CP, click on Edit Options. Scroll down to the second section labeled Messaging and Notification, the first section is Receive Email
From time to time, we may want to send you email notices (updates, newsletters, etc).

If you do not want to receive these notices, disable this option.
"Receive Email from Our Community"

By checking the box to the left of it, you should get the newsletters. If this doesn't work, PM any Site Team member.

Before you do anything else, please check your junkmail folder to make sure that your email provider isn't sending them there. Sometimes, email settings can change and send your notifications there.

If they are not going to your junkmail, please use the following process to make sure that your forum settings are correct

1) Click on your User Control Panel (User CP on the left side of the gold toolbar).

2) Scroll down and click on the "Edit Options" on the left side of the screen approx half way down.

3) Under the Messaging & Communication section, make sure that your "Default Subscription Mode" is set to "Instant email notification".

I have attached a few screenshots to help.

I have the same problem. I used to receive an email any time someone posted to a thread that I had posted to but that no longer works. I checked my email settings and it appears that all are checked. No junk folder entries. I miss that feature.

Jim, are you still showing that you are subscribed to those threads? Your subscriptions didn't get cleared somehow did they?

I have never subscribed or unsubscribed from anything. Don't know how to even do that but I will look for the option. Note: I didn't even receive an email from this thread.

Just looked at something showing my subscribed threads. There are 1146 and include this one.

Very interesting. And your user control panel setting still shows "instant email notification" for your subscriptions? We may need to have you pass this on to tech support if we can't figure it out here.

I am truly sorry that it isn't working for you. To contact tech support, click the "Contact Us" tab at the very bottom of the page. A dialog box will appear and allow you to describe your issue. (I've attached a screenshot of what it will look like).

Thanks for the help. One last last thing I checked was for a correct email address, which it was. Tech support, here I come.

Sounds good. Please let us know what the issue was once they figure it out.

In the meantime, I am going to keep checking with the resources I have. I'll let you know if I find anything.

I sent an email to tech support regarding my issue with receiving thread emails and after a few days the emails were restored. Didn't receive any communication as to what happened or what they did to fix it. Just happy that it works again. Thank you tech support!

If anyone else experiences the problem just send an email to tech support as stated in a previous post.
