Logout timing

Is there a way to change how long the time out to when you automatically get timed out? I am a slow thinker and typer. I tried creating 2 new threads yesterday and today, and when I go to submit new thread, I was automatically logged off and lost what I wanted to post. Or is this a timed out event from my computer?

Check the "remember me" box when you sign in.
