Cockroach Bay Preserve State Park

When we entered Florida I got the SPs information book at the Welcome Center. As I browsed the list I couldn't help but think of Mustang65 when I saw Cockroach Bay Preserve State Park. Should it be renamed Palmetto Playground?

for a state park in fl. I would go to lake mannatte state park or lake griffin state park

Great name! I wonder what they were thinking? Kind of like the Bong Recreation Area of SE Wisconsin.
