This forum keeps me sane
We bought a new TT at the start of the winter on a mild Black Friday morning and it was all I could think about for the first few weeks until the cold set it. It has been a long and miserable winter to me and I can't seem to shake it lately...it depresses me. I drags me down when I can't go outside and do things I normally enjoy. I'm a plow operator with the city I work for and the snow, precipitation and temperature extremes here in Kansas City has been a bit much over the past few months. I don't think we had a single day above 50 degrees for the past 3-4 months and if we did, it just seemed to rain all day.
I have made reservations for 10 nights of camping starting next month for 3 different trips so far. Planning for those trips gives me some hope but I'm just so tired of winter. As a kid that grew up in South Texas, I never understood why all those folks came down to the valley for the winter...now the old guy in me gets it and one day, I'll probably be one of those winter Texans too.
I turn to this forum several times a day just to read people stories or their tech questions but I do so also to escape the reality that it's 12 degrees outside and winter is still hanging on here. Keep posting about your awning speakers, your new Class A that has alignment issues, fitting 6 people in a TV or whatever....I'll read it to distract me for a bit longer until spring actually shows up. This forum keeps me sane.

Hey, I resemble that statement . Year two of escaping Wisconsin winters and we get but haven’t perfected it. We split our escape this year to be in the RGV for 6 weeks then in Port Aransas another 6. Our first few weeks in PA so far have been foggy, windy and recently cool keeping us inside reading the forums and shopping the Internet. Minnesota & Wisconsin friends and family have zero sympathy for us so we have support groups down here - Friday night happy hour
See ya in the Valley

Amen. I am so damn tired or winter I could scream. We came back from the Smoky Mountains in mid November in the cold and it has been cold ever since. I just can’t wait til May 1st when the County Campground’s open up. We purchased our Whitehawk in July and can’t wait to get back out. It has been a long, cold winter.

I hear you guys. We got our Greyhawk before Columbus Day - spent 3 nights in it and I winterized it a few week's after. I have 29 some odd nights planned out for this season, commencing Spring Break this year.
It can't come fast enough !

100% agree. This forum is not only a fantastic resource but is hilarious more times than not. My wife and I laughed for a few days at whomever posted the “Im sorry for what i said while parking the trailer” hooded sweatshirt.
Worst case I am prepared after consuming all the knowledge if I am pressed to make quick fixes while on the road. A+ JOF. A+!

Happy to entertain you. We are currently camped in Statesboro Georgia for a week. Just got home from 3 weeks in central Florida.

It was 22 degrees here this morning in Ole Virginnie. Groundhog? Make stew out of him lol. I agree about the misery index, only here it rains three times a week. Wettest Autumn and Winter on record.

This forum is a great example of freedom of speech in voicing our options an thoughts. Life would be very boring if we all were alike in option and beliefs!

Our high temps this weekend will drop 5 degrees to 65. Time to get the jackets back out of the closet.
