Sounds to me like someone deserves a cold beverage!

Yep. I agree.

When I get a chance, I'm going to rig some type of latch on the front of that kitchen slide tray to take the stress off of those struts as the only thing holding that outside kitchen in place as it bounces down the road. Even a simple sliding latch on each side of the tray should work if I anchor it property behind the particle board.

Jayco had the original 2x4 just wood screwed in to the floor and it simply pulled up. Even with the inserts, I don't trust it long term.

Thought about our Jayco today. It's still snuggled up in its barn, on this blizzard like day.

Today, rainy and windy, got to wondering about the a/c mounting bolts after reading a sticky thread about them. Ours were OK, but the living room a/c was cooling the attic space. Sealed that with Al duct tape. Also put up under-cabinet coffee filter dispenser. Folded three pieces of the same tape to make double sided tape, covered each screw hole and started those little screws into the tape, slapped the base in place, it stayed there until I could get the screws ran home.

Nothing wrong with patting yourself on the back.
Sometimes I think I carry enough stuff to build a trailer.
Someone is always needing something repaired and I really enjoy having what I need when I need it and fixing things for others.

Thanks. I always feel sorta dumb carrying all this stuff with me.....until I need it. I bet those plastic anchors have been in my toolbox for 15 years or more.

Installed a Furrion 381556 FOS48TAPK-BL Wireless High-Speed RV Observation System with Mounting Bracket on our 212 QBW. Mounted it about 2 inches above the middle marker light. Looks to be a real help for backing up and the ability to watch behind as we travel.

I spent a lovely three hours in the trailer today. We removed the winter cover and did a thorough cleaning and re-organization. De-winterizing means camping season is just around the corner!

Returned from our 3 day maiden voyage and parked her back beside the house. We were able to check out everything due to 2 weather extremes over the 3 days. 85 degrees one day and 40 degrees the next along with 40 mph winds. Happy to report that everything worked well! The DW is almost checked out on all systems including hitching, unhitching, stinky slinking, etc. Now to clean her up (DW and FW... lol) and get ready for a lot of upcoming trips.

Worked on replacing all the interior lights with LED lights. I put LED strip lights under the cabinets that are above the counter top, the strip lights are motion controlled and dimmable. I then installed a pair of LED reading lights above the bed. Much better than the in your face blinding light that was there. Need to work on the wiring for the under cabinet light, but that's another day.Click image for larger version

Ordered a new thermostat for the trailer today. Hopefully it will be much better than the factory thermostat. Coleman 83303862 Digital Thermostat

Think about training your family with the expired fire extinguishers. Live action training!

build a fire about the size of a lawn chair seat or cast iron skillet for that size.

I have worked in sawmills for years and you never get used to using a fire extinguisher. We put the fires out before the fireman gets there. We use extinguishers and fire hoses. The fire department is 4 minutes away.

Have you ever seen a 25,000 pound forklift on fire or a 200 horse electric motor? In all things practice makes perfect.

What we MEANT to do!

Well, we were all set to pull our 16xrb out from her winter spot in our side driveway when the temps dropped to 28 degrees and it began to snow! Three days ago it was nearly 70 and we were all running around in shirtsleeves.

Maybe next weekend...sigh.

I just suggested because he had expired fire extinguishers. Kiddie has a big recall on some of their fire extinguishers, I am going to empty the ones I am going to return before turning them in. The dry powder does make a big mess.
