(I said Lippert in the post above, but the axels are actually Dexter and that is who I spoke with).
Ordered the Sailun's today from Simple Tire. Could not find them locally. America's Tire will mount, balance, and install for $80. Will feel better with a sturdier tire with extra load rating for some cushion.

Now that's a smart turtle!!

Thumbs down

"I know we are beating this topic to death however, the drama continues in that I heard some 2017's have been fitted with Maxxis tires. If that's the case, I may decide to hold off for a couple years before upgrading and definitely upgrade if or when we do a trek up to"

The 2017 Jayco Toy Haulers are still using Westlake tires, they are the cheapest that have a DOT load Rating.

Thanks for the update, Loboclone. Oh well, I will just have to go with the 17.5" Sailuns right out of the gate and be done with it already.

Are the Westlake's G rated? I'm really disappointed as I'm supposed to pick up a '16 4250 this week. My '12 Recon has Marathon's and have never had a problem.

And if weight is any indication of quality, these should be good. Man they are heavy.

New Tires for Jayco 4212

Jim - I just purchased a 4212 and one of the Westlake tires looks bad. Since this is a significant safety concern I am going to change the tires and want to go to a high quality tire. Did you need to change the rims to use the Sailun S637 tires?

I wouldn't run the GY Marathons, but would look at G614 16" G rated GY tires..quite expensive, but a good tire, though I would go with the Sailun G614 tires.
