2019 Insignia 37MB - GPS/Infotainment sys Location

Finally was able to get the dash faux wood tray piece off...ended up just being four velcro points holding onto the dash...voila, the GPS/Infotainment system is right there...plus a plethora of wires - like a rats nest....good thing no rats..

did find that the module was not screwed down so probably most of the problem with the system rebooting or "freaking out" while we travel...so unplugged everything, straightened out the rats nest of wires and screwed one side down. Now all have to do is get the GPS SD software updated....can't find my SD card to MAC PC adapter...

Hi Topperace.
I bought a 2015 Precept 31UL. When I tried to use the GPS it would only pick up one satellite. It flashed two satellites for a little while. Any ways it can't find the location. Is the GPS antenna inside the unit or is external and mounted somewhere on the roof?

I'm not sure about the Precept, ours is an Entegra Coach model,
the GPS antenna was sitting on top of the module... you should be able
to see the small black square at the bottom corner of the module...
see the picture that I posted...

Might want to check under you Dash, or remove the infotainment system part of the dash and check where the HDMI cable leads to...follow that cable and you will find the Infotainment system control module...that is where the GPS ANT connects to... you might find it there like ours...else, if on the roof, which I would be surprised if that is the case for GPS antenna... but you never know...
if so it would look something like this, or a small stick like antenna...

Thanks again Topperace. Right now the dealer has the MH. I asked them to look into it. If they can't solve the issue I can give them your suggestions.
