Alante electrical question

I believe I am having issues with my alternator on my 26x Alante (2021). When I read the voltage across the battery terminals with the engine off I read 12.6 volts on the new battery. If I start the engine, I am still getting 12.6 volts across the battery terminals.
I am due to get my motorhome to the Ford dealer this Sunday (70 miles). If I fire up my generator and check the voltage I am reading 13.6v.
My question is do you think I can make it the full 70 miles driving the motorhome with the generator running to provide enough charging capacity to keep the motor running and not ruin the battery?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would guess it would be just fine. If you have a battery charger or can borrow one I would recommend charging the battery before Sunday. Can't hurt to start with a fully charged battery.

IMO you could "drive it to Timbuktu" in that configuration....... provided engine starts were few.

Good luck with the fix and safe travels to ya.

What's been overlooked here is the voltage on the battery under load. Start the engine, check battery voltage, turn on chassis loads: headlights, heater blower, windshield wipers etc. all the while checking the battery voltage. If the voltage drops under load then you run the chance of the battery going dead on the way to the dealer unless you travel with as little chassis load as possible. If the voltage stays the same then maybe the alternator is charging just not charging more than 12.6 volts. Just out of curiosity what is the battery voltage when starting the engine? ie while cranking.
